Spot-Hogg “Real Deal w/wrap” Bow sight
Hunters and Target Archer’s demand different things when it comes to bow sights, and most sights are made for one type or the other. Target sights offer adjustability and accuracy, but usually lack in durability, weight, and maneuverability in the field. Sights that are meant for hunters are durable, light, and small in size, but usually are difficult to adjust for wind/elevation, and less accurate. Spot-Hogg solves this problem for Archer’s who shoot 3-D in the summer, to gear up for hunting season with their “Real Deal” bow sight.
Spot-Hogg offers a full line-up of bow sights from the “Bare Bones” for the minimalist hunter, all the way to their “Hogg-Father” for the hardcore freestyle archer, and many other models in between. The “Real Deal” falls directly in the middle of this product line, and blends the accuracy and adjustability of a target sight, with the durability of a hunting sight in a small enough package to keep you from hanging your sight up on briars while tracking game.
The “Real Deal” offers micro-adjustability for wind and elevation, or when your sight gets knocked off after going through the airport baggage claim. Even though TSA handlers are notorious for tossing bags, the “Real Deal” mounts tight to your bow, a must for traveling hunters or anyone who’s bow goes through a beating on the way to their stand. Spot-Hogg sights also feature a vertical wire that helps align pins in quick shooting situations or in longer distance shooting where vertical alignment become more difficult. One particular option, where I feel Spot-Hogg truly separates itself from other sights out there, is the optional wrap kit. By extending the fiber optic fibers around the pin guard and allowing them gather more light than traditional sights, Spot-Hogg is able to offer possibly the brightest pins on the market. Or, for those of you out there that don't like bright pins (some of my colleagues on the staff would consider themselves in that group), you can order the sight without the Hogg-It Wrap.
